What a crazy month has passed. The market was going up and down like crazy. I took advantage of mister market mood and bought some Johnson&Johnson (JNJ). See my blogpost.
Furthermore this month ARCP had some bad, bad news. Which mad the stock price shrink. I think by now everybody knows what the news was. So I will not talk about it anymore. I decided not to sell my stocks ARCP, luckily it is just a small part of my portfolio.
A new month means also time to summarize my dividend income from the past month. In total I received € 28.43 in passive income.
If we take a closer look, the dividend was coming from:
- Coca Cola (K) € 16.56
- Realty Income (O) € 6.22
- American Realty Capital Prop. (ARCP) € 5.65
That makes a total of € 28.43. This is a nice increase from last years October.
For an update of my Dividend Income click the hyperlink. In 2014 I received a total in passive income of € 854.70
If we take a look at my Vrijheid Fonds (Freedom Fund), you can see that I bought 30 stocks of Johnson&Johnson. And I donate some cash to my Vrijheid Fonds (€ 5,000.-). At this moment most of the stocks are, in my opinion, (again) overvalued. So I’ll wait and stay cool. When there will be a dip in the market, I’ll be back. Or, of course, when I discover a buying opportunity.
My total portfolio value at the end of October is $46,963, which is an increase of 11.9% over last month September (€ 41,967). Most of the gain came due my cash contribution and a slightly stronger Dollar against the Euro.
Again this month I made a nice step in my journey.
Thanks for reading!
Because all figures I give are in Euro’s. Because the exchange rates is not constant (duh…) my passive income changes per month (even if the dividend stays the same). For the record: I only post my passive income from dividend the month I received it on my brokers account. And it is after taxes.
