January review

The first month of 2015 is almost over. So it is time to tell you the status of my Vrijheid Fonds and report my passive income for this month. January traditionally is a slow dividend income month. In total I received € 17.86 ($ 20.16) in passive income.

If we take a closer look, the dividend was coming from:

  • Realty Income (O) € 7.79
  • General Electric (GE) € 10.07

That makes a total of € 17.86, this is an 100% increase from last years January.

In 2015 I received a total in passive income of € 17.86

If we take a look at my Vrijheid Fonds (Freedom Fund), we can see it was a good month.

My total portfolio value at the end of January is $53,664, which is an increase of 7.2% over last month December (€ 50,050). Most of the gain came due a stronger Dollar against the Euro and higher stock prices. Furthermore I donated € 400,- of fresh capital.

Again this month I made a nice step in my journey.
Thanks for reading!

Because all figures I give are in Euro’s. Because the exchange rates is not constant (duh…) my passive income changes per month (even if the dividend stays the same). For the record: I only post my passive income from dividend the month I received it on my brokers account. And it is after taxes.

Certainly the US holdings are going to be giving you a boost after the past few months of decline in the exchange rate. Either way, you’ve gotten off to a great start this year which I’m sure you’ll carry through the rest of 2015!

    Enjoy your weekend!

Your year-over-year growth is awesome Pollies. Keep up the momentum! Hope the rest of 2015 and beyond proves to be equally as impressive.

    Cheers to dividend growth! AFFJ

      Hello AFFJ,

Thanks for stopping by! I appreciate it.
When I started rearranging my portfolio last june, I could not imagine how much dividend I would collect.
      This is really great.
But I must admit that January and February are this year really top month. This because it will be the first time I will recieve dividend in these months.

Also the other months looks promising.

Nice job on such a nice increase from last year — it’s only a matter of time when the snow ball starts rolling – every little bit helps and nice capital contribution of $400 this month, solid.

Keep it up and keep focused on the goals Pollies, new month and new time to be aggressive!
