Month Review April 2016

Another month has passed. The month April is a slow month for my Vrijheid Fonds. I’m looking for May and June. But first lets look back at April

This is a blog post about my favorite topic, dividends!  I hope this post inspires other people out there to start saving and investing as soon as they can.  The power you feel knowing that you are richer than you were yesterday and you didn’t have to work a minute for it, is a wonderful feeling.

In total I received €65.34 ($74.80) in passive income in April. My Vrijheid Fonds had two dividend increases this month! Coca Cola raised its dividend with 6.10% and Realty Income with 0.30%.

If we take a closer look, the dividend was coming from:

Coca Cola (KO) €20.79
General Electric (GE) €10.25
Realty Income (O) €7.39
Vereit (VER) €10.21
Wal-Mart (WMT) €16.70

That makes a total of € 65.34, this is a 71.8% increase from last years April.
For an update of my Dividend Income click the hyperlink. In 2016 I received a total in passive income of € 591.13

If we take a look at my Vrijheid Fonds (Freedom Fund), we can see it was a good month.

My total portfolio value at the end of March is $66,119, which is an increase of 0.07% over last month (€ 66,076). This increase was mainly due to the new buys I made last year. This is great! DGI at work!

Furthermore I donated € 400 of fresh capital.

This month I purchased 47 stocks of Omega Healthcare Investments (OHI). See here

Again this month I made a nice step in my journey.

Thanks for reading!

Because all figures I give are in Euro’s. And because the exchange rates is not constant (duh…) my passive income changes per month (even if the dividend stays the same). For the record: I only post my passive income from dividend the month I received it on my brokers account. And it is after taxes.
