May is already behind us. And it is time to tell how much passive income I have received last month. The month May is one of my biggest months for my Vrijheid Fonds. So I’m looking forward to add up the numbers.
This is a blog post about my favorite topic, dividends! I hope this post inspires other people out there to start saving and investing as soon as they can. The power you feel knowing that you are richer than you were yesterday and you didn’t have to work a minute for it, is a wonderful feeling.
In total I received €366.70 ($408.81) in passive income in May. My Vrijheid Fonds had three dividend increases this month! Ahold raised its dividend with 8.33%, Omega Healthcare Investments with 1.8% and Procter & Gamble with 1.0%.
If we take a closer look, the dividend was coming from:
Ahold (AH.AS) € 195.81
AT&T (T) € 21.96
Omega Healthcare Investments (OHI) € 38.47
Procter & Gamble (PG) €19.39
Realty Income (O) € 7.59
Mutual Funds € 83.48
That makes a total of € 366.70, this is a 0.5% increase from last years May. This small increase is due to the selling of some mutual funds in January of this year (Info)
For an update of my Dividend Income click the hyperlink. In 2016 I received a total in passive income of € 943.84
If we take a look at my Vrijheid Fonds (Freedom Fund), we can see it was a good month.
My total portfolio value at the end of May is $68,251, which is an increase of 3.22% over last month (€ 66,119). This increase was mainly due to the new buys I made last year. This is great! DGI at work!
Furthermore I donated € 416 of fresh capital.
This month I reinvested my dividend of my mutual funds. I did not buy any new companies.
Again this month I made a nice step in my journey.
Thanks for reading!
Cheers,
Pollie
Note:
Almost €367, wow, that is a whopper of a month! Impressive to say the least! Congrats Pollie.
We are still awaiting the final dividend payments to hit the Canadian accounts, we should be in the same ballpark as you. Details to follow late next week.
Congrats on a strong dividend income month. Do you keep the cash or reinvest?
When i have at least €1,000 i reinvest the dividend
Pollies,
Nice job and love the names! I am hoping for an increase from Realty Income this month (Just a small one), I have my fingers crossed! Keep it up and I bet you’ve crossed $70K now!
-Lanny
Thanks.
I hope to cross the 70k mark before the end of this year
You will, easily.
