March is history, and lets see what it brought. March is always a good month. It is the last month of the quarter and a lot of companies pay dividend in March. Unfortunately no dividend increases this month. So lets take a look at the numbers and tell you the status of my Vrijheid Fonds and report my passive income for this month. In total I received € 277.16 ($ 298.86) in passive income. If we take a closer look, the dividend was coming from:
Realty Income (O) € 7.45
Royal Dutch Shell A (RDS) € 87.58
Unilever (UN) € 56.45
Aflac (AFL) € 7.38
Billiton PLC – ADR (BBL) € 34.50
Chevron (CVX) € 17.71
Johnson&Johnson (JNJ) € 16.55
McDonalds (MCD) € 14.07
Target (TGT) € 14.75
Mutual Fund € 20.71
That makes a total of € 277.16, this is a 207% increase from last years March. For an update of my Dividend Income click the hyperlink. In 2015 I received a total in passive income of € 322.72
If we take a look at my Vrijheid Fonds (Freedom Fund), we can see it was a good month. My total portfolio value at the end of March is $58,196, which is an increase of 3.05% over last month (€ 56,476). Most of the gain came due a stronger Dollar against the Euro and higher stock prices. Furthermore I donated € 400 of fresh capital.
Again this month I made a nice step in my journey. Thanks for reading!
Note: Because all figures I give are in Euro’s. And because the exchange rates is not constant (duh…) my passive income changes per month (even if the dividend stays the same). For the record: I only post my passive income from dividend the month I received it on my brokers account. And it is after taxes.
