Dividend Increase BBL
This week BBL announced a 7,5% increase in its semi-annual dividend.
The dividend is raised from $0.80 to $0.86. The dividend pay date is September 26, 2017 to shareholders of record on September 8, 2017 (ex dividend September 7, 2017).
The Board of BHP Billiton has determined to pay an interim dividend of 43 US cents per share. Because BBL-ADR consists of two shares of BHP, the dividend for BBL will be 86 cents.
Vrijheid Fonds
The new dividend amount represents an annualized dividend amount of $1.72 per share, up from $1.60. The dividend yield on current price is 4.02%.
My Vrijheid Fonds consist of 30 shares of BBL, so my annual dividends will increase by €1.27 (after taxes). My projected annual total amount from my shares of BBL will be €40 after taxes.
As I wrote during the first dividend raise this year of BHP Billiton, they slashed its dividend last year. Back then I decided to not sell my shares, because it is just a small part of my portfolio. So this raise is very welcome!

What’s not to ❤️
Always good to see a dividend increase. Too bad I don’t own BBL. But, just a reminder why I like DGI so much.
👍
Aah — good to see BBL back in the news. I sold my shares after the decrease, so no dividend increase for me to add to DivGro this time…
Keep up the good work!
I read this a lot. Because I have just a few stocks, I decided not to sell mine. And yes it is going to pay of
