Dividend Increase MCD

Yesterday McDonalds (MCD) announced a 7.4% increase in its quarterly dividend. The dividend is raised from $0.94 to $1.01. The dividend pay date is December 15, 2017 to shareholders of record on December 1, 2017 (ex dividend November 30, 2017).

McDonald’s President and Chief Executive Officer Steve Easterbrook said:

We continue to make progress in building a better McDonald’s with our Velocity Growth Plan. Today’s dividend increase reflects our confidence in the strength of the business and our ability to deliver sustained, long-term profitable growth for our system and our shareholders.”

This is the 41st consecutive annual dividend increase. McDonald’s has raised its dividend each and every year since paying its first dividend in 1976.

The new dividend amount represents an annualized dividend amount of $4.04 per share, up from $3.76. The dividend yield on current price is 2.54 %.

My Vrijheid Fonds consist of 21 shares of MCD, my annual dividends will increase by $4.99 (after taxes). For 2017 my dividends will increase by $ 1.25 after taxes.

My projected annual total amount from my shares of MCD will be $71 after taxes.
