A Dividend increase by McDonald’s (MCD).
It seemed that I forgot to write a post about one of my favorite topics as a DGI: A dividend increase of one of the stocks of my Vrijheid Fonds. On September 20th McDonald’s (MCD) announced a 15% increase in its quarterly dividend. The dividend is raised from $1.01 to $1.16. The dividend pay date is December 17, 2018 to shareholders of record on December 3, 2018 (ex dividend November 30, 2018).
McDonald’s President and Chief Executive Officer Steve Easterbrook said:
“Our substantial cash flow enables us to invest in the business to drive growth under our Velocity Growth Plan. We are confident that the Plan will deliver sustained, long-term profitability for our system and our shareholders, which is reflected in today’s increases in our dividend and three-year cash return to shareholders target.“
This is the 42nd consecutive annual dividend increase. McDonald’s has raised its dividend each and every year since paying its first dividend in 1976.
Vrijheid Fonds
The new dividend amount represents an annualized dividend amount of $4.64 per share, up from $4.04. The dividend yield on current price is 2.45 %.
My Vrijheid Fonds consist of 21 shares of MCD, my annual dividends will increase by €9.23 ($10.71) after taxes. For 2018 my dividends will increase by € 2.30 ($ 2.67) after taxes.
My projected annual total amount from my shares of MCD will be €71 after taxes.
I love these kinds of increases!
Cheers,
Pollie
