A new dividend increase for my Vrijheid Fonds by Microsoft.

Yesterday Microsoft (MSFT) announced a 9.5% increase in its quarterly. The dividend is raised from $0.42 to $0.46. The dividend pay date is December 13, 2018 to shareholders of record on November 15, 2018 (ex dividend November 14, 2018).

Vrijheid Fonds

The new dividend amount represents an annualized dividend amount of $1.68 per share, up from $1.56. The dividend yield on current price is 2.23%.

My Vrijheid Fonds consist of 32 shares of Microsoft, so my annual dividends will increase by € 3.72 ($ 4.35). For 2018 my dividends will increase by € 0.94 ($ 1.10) after taxes.

My projected annual total amount from my shares of MSFT will be € 39 (€ 46) after taxes.

This is the 22nddividend increase in 2018 for my Vrijheid Fonds. I’m happy! 🙂

Solid increase from a wonderful company. It might’ve been a little low compared to their cash flow but I prefer slow and steady anyway. Really bummed I have no MSFT shares myself, can’t wait for the stock market recession to load up on some shares!

I enjoyed this increase as well and have been quite happy with my investment in MSFT thus far. It does seem as though there was a general disappointment with the increase because people were expecting 15%+ I think given their cash flow, but as DI stated I would prefer that they take a more gradual approach so it can be sustained–and still provide them opportunities for strategic acquisitions.
