A dividend increase from Procter & Gamble.
Yesterday Procter & Gamble (PG) announced a 4.0% increase in its quarterly dividend for common stockholders. The dividend is raised from $0.6986 to $0.7172.This dividend increase marks the 62th consecutive year that the Company has increased its dividend, demonstrating its commitment to – and extending its long-term track record of – returning cash to shareholders. P&G has been paying a dividend for 127 consecutive years since its incorporation in 1890.
The dividend pay date is May 15, 2018 to shareholders of record on April 20, 2018 (ex dividend April 19, 2018).
The company expects total dividend payments to shareholders of nearly $7.5 billion in fiscal year 2018, bringing total dividends paid over the last decade to more than $65 billion. P&G has been paying a dividend for 128 consecutive years since its incorporation in 1890.

The new dividend amount represents an annualized dividend amount of $2.850 per share, up from $2.758. The dividend yield on current price is 3.66 %.
My Vrijheid Fondsconsist of 38 shares of Procter & Gamble, my annual dividends will increase by €1.95 ($2.40) after taxes.
My projected annual total amount from my shares of PG will be €74.64 after taxes.
It is a small raise, but it is welcome!

A small one but every increase counts. PG is one those companies I’m watching at the moment. If the share price gets lower I might pull the trigger.
