A Dividend increase by the Target Corporation.
Last week Target Corporation (TGT) announced a 3.1% increase in its quarterly dividend. The dividend is raised from $0.64 to $0.66. The dividend pay date is September 10, 2019 to shareholders of record on August 21, 2019 (ex dividend August 20, 2019).
The 3rd quarter dividend will be the company’s 208th consecutive dividend paid since October 1967 when the company became publicly held. With the increase announced last week, 2019 is expected to be the 48th consecutive year in which Target has increased its annual dividend.

The new dividend amount represents an annualized dividend amount of $2.64 per share, up from $2.56. The dividend yield on current price is 2.99%.
My Vrijheid Fonds consist of 70 shares of TGT and with this 3.1% increase it will add €2.11 ($2.38) after taxes, to my projected dividend income for 2019. In 2019 Target will pay me approx. €137 dividend after taxes.
This is the 19th dividend increase for my Vrijheid Fonds in 2019. I love it!
Do you currently hold any stock in Target and what do you think of this dividend increase? I like to hear from you!
Cheers,
Pollie
Nice that Target also continues its dividend growth at a steady pace. Dividend growth (for stocks in general) seems to slow down a bit this year. Let’s hope it will increase coming years due to the low interest rates.
