A dividend increase by Unilever NV in 2019
This week Unilever announced a 6% increase in its quarterly dividend. The dividend is raised from €0.3872 to €0.4104. The dividend pay date is June 5, 2019 to shareholders of record on May 3, 2019 (ex dividend May 2, 2019).
CEO Alan Jope:
“We have delivered a solid start that keeps us on track for our full year expectations. Growth was led by emerging markets and was balanced between volume and price. Accelerating growth is our number one priority… For the full year we continue to expect underlying sales growth to be in the lower half of our multi-year 3% – 5% range, an improvement in underlying operating margin that keeps us on track for the 2020 target and another year of strong free cash flow.”
Vrijheid Fonds
The new dividend amount represents an annualized dividend amount of €1.6184 per share, up from €1.5488. The dividend yield on current price is 3.10%.
MyVrijheid Fonds consist of 250 shares of Unilever, so my annual dividends will increase by €13.15 ($14.79) after taxes. My projected annual total amount from my shares of UNA.AS will be €344.35 ($387.26) after taxes.
This increase is in the lower region of my prediction. But I lover every dividend increase!
Do you currently hold any stock in Unilever and what do you think of this dividend increase? I like to hear from you!
Cheers,
Pollie
Unilever is the single largest position in my portfolio, so I am quite content with this increase 🙂
Happy camper here as well 😉
Although with 40 share the impact is drastically less I’m still really excited!
Pollies –
Congrats on another dividend increase!
