Recent buy – Omega healthcare Investment (OHI)

My second purchase this month is in the Financial sector. Actually it is a REIT. These stocks are on a rough track lately, and at this moment, give a nice buying opportunity. If we look at what fellow DGI bloggers bought the last month, we can see that REIT are favorite.

Today (June 3) I bought 40 shares of Omega Healthcare Investment $OHI at $36.02 per share (incl. fees).

With this buy, I added a little bit more than ā‚¬ 32 (after taxes) of dividend to my Vrijheid Fonds for this year. The projected dividend income for 2016 for $OHI is ā‚¬ 64.

Again a small step in my journey. And one step closer to my goal.
Has anyone else invested in this company recently? Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

Pollie

    Hi Pollie
I think OHI is a great buy. I bought 2 weeks ago at 36.36 and dollar cost averaged down to 35.60 today. I now have 90 shares at about 7% yield. Let’s hope it is a case of great minds think alike ;-).

    Pollie,
REITs are getting attractive with the fear of rate hikes. I added OHI and VTR in the healthcare area, and WPC in the triple net lease category. I think OHI is a great pick and we should do very well.
    Best wishes,
    Keith

I think OHI is a great buy. It’s the number 2 on my list of stocks I want to buy for my dividend portfolio (I’m just starting).
