How high was my passive income this month?
The month is over and it is time to update my Vrijheid Fonds once again. And of course to write a post about my favorite topic, Passive income a.k.a. dividends! I hope this post inspires other people out there to start saving and investing as soon as they can. The power you feel knowing that you are richer than you were yesterday and you didn’t have to work a minute for it, is a wonderful feeling.
Okay lets see how much passive income I have received in August. For me personally it was a great month. I spend some quality time with my family. We had 4 incredible weeks of holiday. And that’s why I didn’t post very often. But hey, I have to make choices, also during my holidays.
The markets were reasonable flat, so no surprise here.
I had just one dividend increase. Omega Healthcare Investments raised its dividend with 3.40%. It was the third!! raise this year already for $OHI.
Lets take a look at the numbers and tell you the status of my Vrijheid Fonds and report my passive income for this month. In total I received whooping €205.15 ($228.91) in passive income.
If we take a closer look, the dividend was coming from:
AT&T (T) €21.94
Omega Healthcare Investments (OHI) €65.82
Procter&Gamble (PG) €19.37
Realty Income (O) €7.60
Mutual Fund €90.43
That makes a total of €205.15, this is a 174.5% increase from last years August. This big increase is due to my new mutual funds I bought this year and the extra shares of $OHI. This feels good!
For an update of my Dividend Income click the hyperlink. In 2016 I received a total in passive income of € 2074.51
This month I made one purchase. After receiving my paycheck on the 25th of July I bought additional shares from my mutual fund (Kempen European High Dividend).
With this purchases I added € 1 of dividend for 2016.
If we take a look at my Vrijheid Fonds (Freedom Fund), we can see that the value is slightly lower than last month. My total portfolio value at the end of August is $ 72,788, which is a decrease of 0.5% over last month (€ 73,153). I again donated € 412 of fresh capital to my Vrijheid Fonds and € 100 for my mutual Fund for my “Safe-haven-sleep-well” part of my Vrijheid Fonds
Again this month I made a nice step in my journey.
Thanks for reading!
Because all figures I give are in Euro’s. And because the exchange rates is not constant (duh…) my passive income changes per month (even if the dividend stays the same). For the record: I only post my passive income from dividend the month I received it on my brokers account. And it is after taxes.
