March 2019, Month review of my Vrijheid Fonds

Month review of my Vrijheid Fonds – March 2019

The first quarter of 2019 is history, time really flies. Now it is time to see what the month March has brought me. March is always a good month. It is the last month of the quarter and a lot of companies pay dividend in March. And I love these kinds of months 😉

This is a blog post about my favorite topic, dividends!  I hope this post inspires other people out there to start saving and investing as soon as they can.  The power you feel knowing that you are richer than you were yesterday and you didn’t have to work a minute for it, is a wonderful feeling.

In total I received € 597.21 ($670.80) in passive income in March. My Vrijheid Fondshad five!!! dividend increase this month!

Archer-Daniels-Midland raised its dividend with 4.5%, 3M raised its dividend with 5.9%, AFLAC raised its dividend with 3.8%, Walmart raised its dividend with 1.90% and Chevron with 6.2%. Just click on the companies name to see more information about these increases. In total my Vrijheid Fonds has had already 9 dividend raises this year.

If we take a closer look, the dividend was coming from:

  • Royal Dutch Shell A (RDS) € 136.11
  • Unilever (UN) € 81.95
  • Aflac (AFL) € 8.61
  • 3M Company (MMM) € 16.35
  • AFLAC (AFL) € 9.81
  • Acher-Daniels-Midland (ADM) € 10.86
  • Billiton PLC – ADR (BBL) € 29.38
  • Chevron (CVX) € 32.42
  • Consolidated Edison (ED) € 13.44
  • Johnson&Johnson (JNJ) € 30.64
  • McDonalds (MCD) € 18.44
  • Microsoft (MSFT) € 11.14
  • Realty Income (O) € 20.48
  • Southern Company (SO) € 22.70
  • Target (TGT) € 33.90
  • Mutual Fund: NN Premium Dividend Fund € 65.23
  • Mutual Fund: NN Europees Deelnemingen Fonds € 4.70
  • Mutual Fund: NN Hoog Dividend Obligatie Fonds € 13.77
  • Mutual Fund: Kempen European High Dividend Fund € 23.55
  • Rabobank Certificate € 22.34

That makes a total of € 597.21, this is an increase of 24.45% from last years March. However the mutual fund Kempen European High Dividend Fund, normally pays its dividend in February. So If I take the dividend of this mutual fund out of the equation, my Vrijheid Fonds had an increase of 21.11% from last years March.

This is great! DGI at work!

For an update of my Dividend Income click the hyperlink. In 2019 I received a total in passive income of € 889.05

Vrijheid Fonds

If we take a look at my Vrijheid Fonds (Freedom Fund), we can see it was a good month.

My total portfolio value at the end of March is € 116,245, which is an increase of 6.41% over last month (€ 109,242). I again donated € 400 of fresh capital to my Vrijheid Fonds and I bought €217 worth of mutual Funds for my “Safe-haven-sleep-well” part of my Vrijheid Fonds.

Again this month I made a nice step in my journey.

Thanks for reading!

Because all figures I give are in Euro’s. And because the exchange rates is not constant (duh…) my passive income changes per month (even if the dividend stays the same). For the record: I only post my passive income from dividend the month I received it on my brokers account. And it is after taxes.

Thanks. This was a month with no special dividend. So I have set a new record! And it is my first normal month with more than €500 in dividend. I’m happy

Great progress and nice diversification. Love the line upwards in your graphs. Every now and then a small dip, but it’s clear which direction it takes. Congratulations with a good month and first quarter! 👍
