May 2018, Month review of my Vrijheid Fonds

Month review of my Vrijheid Fonds

I happy because it is spreadsheet day today 😉 . May is already behind us. And it is time to tell how much passive income I have received last month.

Month review

This is a blog post about my favorite topic, dividends!  I hope this post inspires other people out there to start saving and investing as soon as they can.  The power you feel knowing that you are richer than you were yesterday and you didn’t have to work a minute for it, is a wonderful feeling.

In total I received € 239.51 ($ 280.07) in passive income in May. My Vrijheid Fondshad two dividend increases this month! Southern Company raised its dividend with 3.4% and Procter & Gamble with 4.0%. And I have received my first dividend from Bayer AG.

If we take a closer look, the dividend was coming from:

Bayer AG (BAYN) € 24,74
AT&T (T) € 36.35
Omega Healthcare Investments (OHI) € 69.08
Procter & Gamble (PG) €19.81
Realty Income (O) € 19.15
Mutual Funds € 70.39

That makes a total of € 239.51. This is a 10.41% increase from last years May. Because NN Euro Obligatie Fonds (Euro Bond Fund) will no longer issue a quarterly dividend from 2018 onwards, my dividend income is lower that expected (For more info see my month review of March 2018 ).  Last year I received a dividend of € 41.74 from this mutual fund. So with a total increase of 10.41% for my dividend income in March, I’m very happy!

And it is always nice to see that my money is working very hard for me 🙂

In 2019 I received a total in passive income of € 1,337.01

Vrijheid Fonds

If we take a look at my Vrijheid Fonds (Freedom Fund), we can see it was a good month.

My total portfolio value at the end of May is $95,831, whichis an increase of 3.23% over last month (€ 92,832).This increase was mainly due to the new buys I made last year. This is great! DGI at work!

I again donated € 400 of fresh capital to my Vrijheid Fondsand I bought € 259.13 worth of mutual Funds for my “Safe-haven-sleep-well”part of my Vrijheid Fonds. This month I invested my side hustle income from Euroclix (€70) and from Google AdSense (€70.70). Yes!!!!!! I received my first ever income from Google AdSense.

Again this month I made a nice step in my journey.

How was your month? Did you receive more dividends than last year? I like to hear from you.

Thanks for reading!

Because all figures I give are in Euro’s. And because the exchange rates is not constant (duh…) my passive income changes per month (even if the dividend stays the same). For the record: I only post my passive income from dividend the month I received it on my brokers account. And it is after taxes.

Congratulations! That’s a nice increase from the month May of last year. It’s also nice to see a bigger pile of cash as compared to last month. As we keep on investing these numbers will have a bigger impact on our portfolios every passing year. Isn’t that a good motivation to continue investing in dividend growth stocks?

Good luck with the month of June. We’ve already started. ☺️

Thanks! Yes the payout from Adsense is really great. That money I earned in just one year. I hope this growth will continue.
And of course I invested this side hustle money directly. I bought some extra shares of mutual funds

I agree €1,300 in passive income, when my Vrijheid Fonds is almost €95,000 is very little. However the €1,300 is just my passive income from the first 5 months. My predicted passive income for the whole of 2018 is €3,600. I think that is much better 😀

Great job Pollie, and love seeing that side hustle money going right into investments! Found my way here via the roundup on Dividend Diplomats site and look forward to seeing your continued progress.
