Side hustle income report – September 2018

Welcome to my September 2018 edition of the side hustle report.

To fuel my Vrijheid Fonds, I donate a part of my paycheck every month. However to reach financial independence earlier I do some side hustles to make some extra income. And every month I write an income report of all my side hustles. I do this to track my income and to motivate myself (and hopefully also others) to make more money to invest.

For these reports it is important to understand that not all side hustles pay out immediately, therefore the numbers I present here are the accumulated revenues that hasn’t been paid out yet, but are in my various accounts. When I actually get paid, it is explicitly stated.

These side hustle income reports, in my opinion, provide a great look at how anyone can earn extra money outside of their day job.

With that said, let’s take a look how I did in September 2018. This month it was very hard to balance my time. I didn’t spend much time on my website to write some post and spend time on my side hustles. Sometimes life is hard 😉 .

As my frequent readers know, at this moment I have five side-hustles going on to help me generate cash for my Vrijheid Fonds. In this post I will report my accumulated revenues for all five side-hustles.

Google AdSense

As you could have read in my August report, my income in August was lower than the previous months. The main reason was that I was on holiday with my family and didn’t post very. And yes, I have learned the lesson that your Google AdSense income is related to the number of your visitors to your website. And if you don’t post often, your visitors will stay away 🙁

In September I didn’t had much time either to write posts. Unfortunately this was not due to a holiday, but because I had some hard time to balance my time between work, family, Polliesdividend, side hustles, etc. And this can be seen in my Google Adsense income.

In September I have accumulated € 7.90 of extra income with the ads from Google AdSense. I still love every € I make with my website Polliesdividend.

The payout threshold is € 70, and with this month I’ve past the 50 barrier!  And if it continues like this, I’m confident that I will reach this threshold before the end of this year. Man that would be great, two payments in one year!

In my August report I wrote that I will try to post new content every two to three days on my website. This has been hard so far. I’m still trying and I hope to be back on the right track. And with the help of you as a visitor, I hopefully will reach the next pay out threshold before this year ends. So come back, read my post, enjoy my ads and send me some love 🙂 .

Bol.com & Amazon.com

In September I had finally some new revenues from Amazon.com. I saw that one of my precious readers ordered a copy of The Little book of big dividends. I’m grateful that you bought the book through my affiliate link. This purchase earned me a commission of $ 0.59. It is a small amount, but every journey starts with the first step. My Amazon account is now standing at $0.67.

In September I didn’t make some extra commission. My account is still standing on € 8.02. At the end of the month, Bol.com awarded me a bonus for my first order. The bonus is € 2.50. This makes that I have reached the threshold is € 10! This will be paid out in October. So thanks for the persons who bought something on Bol.com through my website!

Euroclix is the longest running savings program in The Netherlands. With this program you can earn money by reading emails, participating in surveys, buying stuff on the Internet and using their Credit Card. For my Dutch readers I wrote a post about Euroclix. If you haven’t read it already, take a look at: A post for my Dutch Readers: Waarom gebruik ik Euroclix als “bijbaantje”?

Yeah, I know that Euroclix won’t to earn me a full income. I just see it as some nice extra cash I can earn with a little bit of effort. I estimate that I can earn around 70 euros a year.

If you’re Dutch and also want to earn a little bit of extra cash, sign up with Euroclix, it is free. You will receive a registration bonus of 2 euros immediately upon registration. Have fun and success with earning some extra cash!

Euroclix gives you points (clix) for every survey you fill in; furthermore you earn clix by ordering stuff (books, electronics, hotel bookings, etc.) on the Internet and when you use their Credit Card.

In the table below I will show the number of clix I earned in a month.

Month Revenue
January 801
February 765
March 1,175
April 1,649
May -3,847
June 1,634
July 510
August 714
September -4,486
Clix from 2017 1,328
2018 185 clix

This month I have reached the payout threshold. Euroclix has paid out the total amount of € 70 (5,000 clix). I’m very excited. And I have invested this money straight away, and I bought some extra mutual funds for my “Safe-haven-sleep-well”part of my Vrijheid Fonds.

If you also want to earn some extra cash, just try Euroclix and sign in.

Member’s board

Regular visitors of Polliesdividend know that I’m a member of the member’s board of a local financial company. This board organizes at least 4 meetings every year on financial issues. As a member I’m asked my opinion about financial issues and what I recommend as the best strategy for the company on these issues.  When I attend a meeting I get expenses paid. There was one member’s board meeting in September. Because it was scheduled on the very last day of September, I didn’t get paid in September.

You can’t have a million-dollar dream with a minimum-wage work ethic.

September was a nice month for my side hustles. I made some extra cash with Euroclix and reach the payout threshold for Bol.com. Thanks to all my visitors and thank you for finding my ads attractive 🙂

I love it!

I appreciate all of you who take the time to read my updates and follow along my slow and steady journey to financial freedom.

Do you have suggestions on how to improve my online income? Do you have any book suggestions about this topic? And if you have any questions for me about these side hustle reports, feel free to leave a comment down below.

I like to hear from you.Cheers,

  1. Dr. Dividend

Nice income from side hustles. I have not been very lucky with amazon affiliates as of yet. However, I am looking to add google Adsense very soon. Keep up the awesome job, small and steady winds the race.

  2. Dividend Portfolio

Congrats on the side hustles. It’s always good to have multiple streams of income. Right now, I only do adsense. I’m nowhere near where I want to be but I’ll be focusing more on driving traffic to my site. Some of your side hustles may be small, but the fact that you’re working them means that you’re moving in the right direction. Looking forward to the next report.

  3. Get Rich Brothers

    Hey Pollies,

Great job with the side hustles. This is one of my favourite aspects to the financial independence lifestyle; finding extra ways to bring in cash flow.

Just found your site today but looking forward to continue following along with your journey.

    Take care,
